De Kwakel, August – HBA is showcasing three outstanding hydrangeas for gardens and terraces at Plantarium 2026.
First up is the Cloud Hydrangea Bloomulus series. These paniculatas stand out with their unique flower heads, reminiscent of fluffy clouds, combined with a compact growth habit. The series is available in 14, 18 and 23 cm pots. The smaller pot sizes are perfect for creating beautiful plant combinations in pots and containers. The Bloomulus series includes Cirrus, Cumulus, Cumra, Nimbus and Stratus, among others. Bloomulus Stratus won the Garden Hydrangea 2025 benchmark quality test, carried out by the Post Harvest Knowledge Centre of Royal FloraHolland in autumn 2025. The test showed that Bloomulus Stratus best meets consumer expectations in terms of shelf life and ornamental value. More info: www.bloomulus.com
Next up is the Pan series. The paniculatas in this series can be brought to market in flower from May onwards. The Pan series is continuously being expanded with new varieties. Some of its successful varieties include Pandora, Pandria and Panzola. In 2022, garden hydrangea Panflora won the Garden Hydrangea benchmark quality test conducted by the Knowledge Centre of Royal FloraHolland. Of all the plants entered, Panflora achieved the highest scores for both shelf life and ornamental value.
And last but certainly not least: Diva fiore. This reblooming hydrangea produces fresh flowers from spring through autumn and is truly a showstopper. It requires little maintenance, develops strong stems and keeps its attractive, round and compact shape. Diva fiore is available in pink, blue and purple. More info: www.divafiore.de
